The ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) course is a 2-year diploma program focused on maternal and child health, community healthcare, and rural medical services. It blends classroom theory with practical clinical training, making students eligible to work as basic healthcare workers in clinics, NGOs, and rural health centers.
First Year : Community Health Nursing, Health Promotion, Nutrition, Environmental Hygiene, and Anatomy.
Second Year : Midwifery, Child Health Nursing, Health Center Management, and Communicable Disease Control.
Upon completing the diploma and obtaining the necessary registration, graduates can secure roles such as Certified Nursing Assistant, Community Health Nurse, or Home Care Nurse. They typically find employment at Primary Health Centers (PHCs), Community Health Centers (CHCs), and private clinics. Graduates can also advance their education by pursuing GNM or B.Sc. Nursing degrees.
